The United
States Pony Club Inc (USPC) was founded in 1954 as a nonprofit national
youth organization to teach riding and horsemanship through a formal
education program. Many of the nation's top equestrians, including
most of our Olympic Equestrian team members, have pony club roots.
Members range from 4-25 years of age. Activities are
English-riding based and members ride both horses and ponies. All
Pony Club competition is team based, much like the Olympics, with
members learning the importance of cooperation and teamwork.
Arctic Sun Pony Club is a new club, established in January 2008, led by
Lorena Stratton. For more national information click on the USPC
logo to the left. |
